I'm NOT pregnant...

...but I did take my first pregnancy test this morning. I switched birth controls and so my body's been a little out of whack these past few months and sometimes I feel like I don't know what is going on. Needless to say, I had my first experience with a pregnancy test and I have to admit I was a little excited at the prospect...I was even more excited when that second line didn't show up and confirmed I wasn't pregnant. Yay for birth control that works :o)
This experience did make me wonder, how many people have no idea they're pregnant and then take a test and find out that way? I've always thought that I would just know when I was pregnant, like I'd be able to feel it or something, like a sixth sense. Is that crazy or does it happen that way? For all you mothers out there is this true? Can you feel your pregnant?

And for the record as much as I would love to have a baby at times, we are not currently planning for one.

What did you just say?...

Last night Mitch and I we're talking and in the middle of my sentence he stopped me and asked "what did you just say?" I repeated myself and he kindly said, "I don't think that's a word."
Sure enough, supposebly is not a word. Supposedly is. Thank you Mitch! Sometimes I think my brain forgets I'm educated.

My friend Lacy had this on her blog and it looked kinda fun...plus I have been having bloggers block so this was an easy way to post something without having to get creative on my own.

10 Years Ago: I was 13. My littlest brother was a four years old and SO cute. I was starting my second year of junior high (8th grade) and I had my first kiss that summer. I also got to go to my first youth conference. I went down to my best friend Anna's Dad's house in New Mexico for a week.

Snacks I enjoy: french fries, cheezits, chocolate teddy grahams, mud pie ice cream, melons, reeses cups, chocolate cake with white icing, the rootbeer at brick oven (I don't really like pizza but I'll go there anytime for that vanilla-ey root beer!).

5 Things on My To Do List: 1. pay off my dentist bill 2. buy a new hair straightener 3. clean up the bedroom 4. try wearing my hair wavy 5. put up the new shelf I bought for the bathroom.

Things I would do if I became a billionaire: buy TWO new cars, take my friends and family on a shopping spree, buy a new car and house for all my family, give tons to the perpetual education fund and in fast offerings for the poor, travel to Greece, Israel, all over Europe, pay for all of law school, get a great pair of boots, a new TV, and great furniture for my home.

3 Bad Habits I have: 1. consistently being 2-5 minutes late for work 2. biting my nails 3. eating nothing but sweets all day and then feeling sick all night (just ask Mitch-sometimes I have a problem eating real food, especially if theres candy around).

Things people don't know about me: I have a crazy fascination with sharks. I'm terrified of the ocean but I love the beach. Corrina Corrina's probably my favorite movie of all time. I had to take speech class in elementary school because I had a hard time saying my R's and L's, sometimes it's still an issue and I have to really concentrate when I say certain words.
I wish I could sew, that way when I found really cute clothes that weren't in my size I could just take them home and make them work.

Vocab...

I am one of those people that really admires a person with a wide vocabulary. I find myself making mental notes of words people use and then looking them up when I get home just to make sure I knew what it meant (or to find out what it means).
I think this is because as much as I love hearing new words I have a hard time using words correctly, some of you may have noticed this. I'm constantly reviewing my sentences with Mitch just to make sure I'm not making a fool of myself.
I love it when I read a book and have to keep the dictionary close by for the words the author uses that I've never heard before.
I'm not all about people just throwing difficult and rare words into conversations but I still like to hear a variety of vocabulary in conversations.
Likewise there are words I despise. I dislike them so much that I won't even tell you what they are because I don't want to have to type them. I once had a roommate that hated the word armpit. I don't really know why. It's not that I like saying armpit but it just doesn't bother me. Another friend of mine hated it when people said chunk or any variation of that word. I guess words just effect us all in different ways!?!
Here are a few of my favorite words:
-fruition (don't know why, I just like it-maybe because it has the word fruit in it and I like fruit?)
-veracious
-cacophony
-obsequious (most words with q's are good)
I could come up with a billion more.

Help!

Stealing an idea from a friend's blog I've decided to get your input. I'm getting my hair cut either this week or next and I have no idea what to do. What do you think? Which hair cut could I pull off best?

...Short, above the shoulder A-line? (Yikes!)

...Or Medium? With a few side bangs?

It's been decided...

I'm getting my haircut. It's high time don't you think? I've basically had the same haircut since I was 10 yrs old. I knew getting a new do was a must when talking with my friend about my current style she politely said, "you don't really have a hairstyle right now, you just have hair."
So what should I do??? My hair is pretty long right now and I don't want to just go in get a trim and a few subtle layers like I always do and no one can even tell I had two inches cut off.
I don't want to go too short either, I don't think that would be flattering.
Let me know if you have any ideas!
