This is not good...

Yesterday I ate:
A bunch of salty, seasoned tator tots.
Two slices of kraft singles cheese.
About a liter of red cream soda.

A Look candy bar and part of an Abra Zabra taffy bar.

Deep fried chicken strips.
A bunch of Salsa Verde Doritos that I wasn't even hungry for but I ate them anyway.A whole chocolate bunny and other Easter candy.

This makes me laugh...oh well, oh well

"I saw an image of someone I once knew today and it made me write down my first impressions. I don't normally tend to do that. Guess that makes me an impressionist...I do like impressions though. I once saw a man completely impersonate another man who was not unlike himself if you thought about it. Which I did. 'Who would have thought' needs a question mark at the end of it, doesn't it? A lot of those symbols at the end of things bother me, actually I can't be bothered. They make a symbol in sheet music when the writer wants you to keep playing till the cows come home, but I forget what it's called. I like that idea though. Playing until someone 'decides' it's time to stop based on the feel of the room. What's the longest it could go on? I imagine that every time I see that symbol. What if there was a room that had just the right vibe in it, just the right amount of energy to push, and inspire, and invigorate a conductor and her entire orchestra, to hold that last note until...they couldn't even remember they held it that long? When there's a world record for something, it's an extreme thing. How big is the biggest of it's kind? And how did it get to the point where the conditions called for something so massive to be constructed? It's baffling. Beautiful though. Icky Thump."

I listened to this CD on my way to work this morning. I like it.

Whoops...

Last week I was rear ended on I-15. Not too bad. I wasn't hurt and the car took it pretty well. It actually wasn't until after I left the scene of the crime that I realized I was dragging my bumper behind me, that's it pictured on the right.

The highway patrolman jiggled my bumper and said he thought I would be fine to drive home. Wrong. I got about I mile away on Geneva Road when I thought I heard a noise and then looked in my rear view mirror to see my plastic bumper in the middle of the road. Luckily there wasn't a lot of traffice because I pulled over to get it attempted to shove it in my back seat to take it home. It didn't fit.
My visiting teacher was nice enough to let me borrow this sweet ride for a few days so I had a way to work. It's got some kind of super charged v8 it it. Awesome.

Now I get to drive this rental, a little Ford Focus. Actually it gets much better gas mileage then my real car so I can't complain.

And finally, after a week of waiting, the other insurance company informed me they would take full responsibility for the accident (obviously). I guess that means I have to get my car fixed now.

The Concert...

First off, check out Mitch's face in the second picture. I love that man! He wasn't originally going to go but after the car accident on Friday night we didn't have a way up so one of the guys from Mitch's mission district offered to give us all a
ride. It worked out perfectly.

We had a fabulous time, it was the perfect venue, our seats were great and of course, Rufus Wainwrights voice was as amazing as ever! Even the deadly drive home from Park City in the snow was worth getting to see Rufus live.
This is the best shot I could get from our spot in the balcony. Too bad it's so blurry.

Rufus Wainwright 'Sanssouci'

Video doesn't have the best sound quality but I think he sounds great nonetheless. He was amazing in Park City last night, wish I could have gotten video from there, pictures to come.

Trunk Show...

My good friend Brittany is hosting a Shabby Apple trunk show on Thursday, March 20th at 7:30pm in Lehi. I got a dress from the site last year and I love it! It fits perfectly and they have great styles with lots to choose from.
I'm going so if any of you are interested let me know and you can ride up there with me or I'll give you her email so you can come or order from her. To get a preview of their dresses and accessories go HERE.
She's also going to have jewelry from Lia Sophia there too.

My Cute Chef...

As many of you know Mitch LOVES to cook. It's fantastic! Today he made tempura complete with onions, shrimp and broccoli. I usually don't eat shrimp but he made it so perfect and delicious I couldn't pass it up.
I'm really starting to worry about when he starts law school and won't be home to cook meals for us each day. I don't mind cooking but I'm not that great at it. Usually I just repeat the same seven meals I know how to cook over and over again. With that said, if any of you have any tips or recipe sites I would love to know them. I've been so spoiled with all Mitch's cooking I'm going to need a lot of help to match his expertise.

Another post on music...

I can't help it. I love this crazy, gaunt, moody singers voice. Her soulful reggae rhythm just does something for me. Make sure you get the edited album though!

Who's your favorite female artist? I'm trying to broaden my musical horizons so let me know who you put on when you just want to sing along.

Listening to: I Wake Up Alone, Amy Winehouse

Dear Rufus Wainwright,

Dearest Rufus,

I would really love it if you would please wear lederhosen to your concert in Park City, Utah on March 15th. Few people can pull off lederhosen like you can and I really think you should take advantage of that.

Think about it. Can't wait to see you there!

Yours truly,
Emilie

So um yeah, my friend Lauren and I are going to see Rufus Wainwright next week and I can't wait.
