So Mitch isn't one to flaunt his musical skills but every now and then he'll sit down and let me listen to him play and it just makes my
heart melt. There is just something about the way he looks that makes my heart flutter.
I on the other hand have no musical skills whatsoever. Every now and then Mitch gives me music lessons which are mostly comprised of humming, trying to match his notes and singing simple tunes. It's quite a hoot. I'm terrible and sometimes I think it surprises him how off key I can be (and not even realize it myself). Maybe someday I'll learn, until then he's the musical one in the family and I love it.

One reason not to complain about this weather...
Despite this terrible weather there is one reason Utah doesn't seem so bad.
Today I was just on the phone with my sister when mid-sentence she said "I have to go, the tornado sirens just went off..."
Yep, and her apartments on the second floor. No basement, plenty of windows. Scary!
I think I prefer snow over tornadoes, even if it is May.

Birds...
For the past week every morning around 6:15am about 2-3 birds have been singing non-stop in the big tree outside my bedroom window. At first I loved waking up to them but then I realized that it was only 6am and I didn't have to get up until 7:30am. They just won't stop and I'm having a real hard time sleeping through their little concert. I think I need to find a new early morning hobby because it looks like I'll be getting up at 6am for the rest of the summer.

Fixed...
So after a rough week of wierd hair my cousin-in-law (is there even such a thing as cousin-in-laws?) Naomi fixed my hair!!! I was so thankful. As you can see it's still just not that short but it feels SO short to me. Now from the back you can see a little bit of my neck line between my hair and shirt, it's pretty crazy. She was able to chop off the little mullet the other so-called stylist left hanging below all my other layers. I wish I would have remembered to take pictures before she fixed it but they probably would have been too scary anyway. Too bad you can't see how short the layers go in these pictures.
ANYWAYS I'm sure you're all about as sick of my hair as I am so I promise I won't post about it again :o)

It's only hair, right?...
Now that my hairs short (or at least shorter, I guess you couldn't really call it short at this point) I need to get it cut more often. I'm not a fan of this considering that every time I go to get my hair cut I start feeling sick and worry that I'll be butchered by the time I leave.
All my worries came true last Saturday. I explained to the girl that I wanted my hair trimmed about a 1/2 inch and then I wanted the overall bottom layer cut a little shorter then it had been to make a slightly more angled a-line. "Sure, I love this hair cut" she said. Then she proceeded to add layers (that I had not asked for) to my hair that went clear above my ears. I sat there staring wondering what she was doing. I asked "How short are you going?." She replied "Just half an inch." Liar! But the damage was already done. I tried not to cry. So now I have these weird short layers and the bottom layer (the one I actually wanted cut) is hardly any shorter. What's even worse is that the top layers are so short that I can't put them back in a ponytail to hide this horrible do until it grows out. Major bummer.
So, if any of you know how to cut hair at all I would love to use your expertise. And don't be nervous if your not a pro, there is no possible way you could make my hair worse. All I want is the bottom layer trimmed to add a little to balance out the overall look. Please help :o)

The Darjeeling Limited...
If you haven't seen it yet then I highly recommend you clean flick it or something because it is great! Funny, beautiful, and really well casted. Jason Schwartzman is one of my new favorite actors/writers, etc.

New Phone...
I finally gave in and ordered a new phone. After a week and a half of waiting I realized that whoever found my phone was not planning on giving it back. They did attempt to call Mitch a few times but he was at the priesthood session of conference and unable to answer. I guess they gave up after that because every time we called back they wouldn't answer.
T-mobile finally gave in too and offered us a pretty inexpensive upgrade phone. It's basically the same one I had before just a different color. It's in the mail so I should have it activated sometime next week.
Last week my boss didn't know I'd lost my phone and he tried calling and thought I'd blocked his number. After a few days of trying to call my phone he confronted me about it. Funny.

My Cell Phone...
...is LOST. It's actually kind of funny to me because I always tell myself that I'm not someone who just LOSES personal property but it turns out that's not true because in the past week I have managed to leave my purse in someone else's car as well as lose my cell phone.
I don't know how or where it happened. Sometime on Saturday between conference sessions it disappeared. Mitch and I went on a walk so it could be somewhere between my house and ShopKo but that's a good stretch and I'd rather not have to re-trace my steps. So if you've called and been sent straight to voicemail I'm not avoiding your calls. Feel free to email :o)

Great luck...
Remember our car was rear ended? Well we got it back last night and it looks great. Bumpers good as new. Of course when I woke up this morning to go to work it wouldn't start. I love it. Luckily Mitch was able to take me to work in the rental before he took it back to Enterprise today. Just great :o)
